It's 2372 and the Federation is at war with the Klingons. The USS Voyager has been missing for a year, but Starfleet has yet to declare the vessel and its crew a complete loss. However, with war and tensions rising in the Alpha Quadrant, Starfleet can't devote all of their time to locating the lost ship. All they can do is wait and hope that Captain Janeway will be able to guide it home. Meanwhile, in an effort to supply Starfleet with enough crew members to maintain all of the ships in the fleet, the Academy, along with Starfleet, is allowing all third and fourth year cadets to be given their assignments before actually finishing the required courses. It's only a matter of time before things get worse, and the only way to prepare is to make sure the fleet is secure with enough vessels and crew to man them. The Federation's preparation for war makes it obvious to everyone that the conflict with the Klingons isn't the only thing that should be a concern. It seems that the Bajoran wormhole has caught the interest of the Dominion, and the Federation will have to act quickly if they want to protect the station, it's crew, and the wormhole. Will Starfleet manage to put things back to rights, or will the conflict continue to unravel ?
