Destati
"I'm gonna live my life.
Shining like a diamond, rolling with the dice,
Standing on the ledge, I show the wind how to fly."
the basics,
»»character full name: Destati Moretti
»»age: Fifteen
»»sexual orientation: Heterosexual
»»alignment: Light
»»position: Wood-worker
»»gender: Female
»»power: Des has an affinity for wind. Using it, she can make sure projectiles almost never miss, even if the target moves out of the way. She can also fly, as long as she doesn't do so for too long or go too high.
»»Sciopero: Her chosen weapon is a bow made of simple wood. Delicate patterns have been carved into the wood, the most noticeable being a small set of wings etched just above the leather-bound handle. There are several words on it in her special code.
the appearance,
»»eyes: Blue
»»markings: She has three piercings on each ear. They appear to be silver, but their true composition is unknown.
»»height: 5' 8"
»»weight: 122 lbs.
»»general appearance: Despite her unusual height, Destati has a very light build. Her wrists are a bit larger than her hands are wide, but it's not really that noticeable. She prefers to keep her chestnut hair short; since she spends a lot of time with it going all over the place, it's hard to take care of long. Her blue eyes are very expressive, so you can always tell how she feels about something. As far as clothing goes, she doesn’t really have a preference. Most of the time, she’s in an off-white, sleeveless shirt with a black jacket over it. Since dark colors blend in better than bright ones, she has picked out a black pair of jeans and black fingerless gloves.
the personality,
»»likes:
-Open spaces
-Windy days
-Being alone
-Sweets (Though she denies it.)
»»dislikes:
-Complete silence
-Water
-Bugs. Namely, spiders.
»»strengths:
Archery ;; Des can shot a bow like nobody's business. I suppose it helps when you can pretty much control exactly where it lands.
Second Language ;; She may not look it, but Des is actually interested in other cultures. Since her parents passed, her education stopped, but she still managed to learn Italian. Des doesn't use it much, though.
»»weaknesses:
Water ;; Yeah... Destati can't swim. At all. She sinks like a rock. She tried to learn, but who wants to bother with swimming when you can fly?
»»secrets: Well, she has her code, but the only secret is what the symbols stand for. Most people that know her know about her code. It's fairly simple, really, but that's what makes it so hard to crack.
»»general personality: If you ever want to know the truth about something, just go find Des. She's brutally honest. If she thinks your idea isn't going to work, she'll tell you. And never, ever make the mistake of asking the girl how you look in something. She'll either respond with "I don't care" or tell you what she really thinks. As far as sneak attacks go, Des feels she's above them. It's not very honorable to sneak behind the enemy and stab them in the back, even if it is effective. When it comes to a choice between fight or flight, Des will nearly always chooses fight. Even though she'd trust the other Children with her life, she has developed her own code that she uses when she writes things down. So far, she hasn't shared this code with anyone else.
the history,
»»mother: Miriah (Deceased)
»»father: Joseph (Deceased)
»»siblings: None.
»»others: None.
»»background: Her past didn’t differ much from those of the other Children. Her parents were wonderful people. Her mother, Miriah, sewed and knitted all kinds of things, including most of her daughter’s clothes. Des was always proud to wear the things that Miriah made especially for her. Joseph, her father, was a strong man, but even he couldn’t resist the little girl’s fawn-eyes. She got nearly everything she requested of him, as long as it wasn’t too outlandish. (She once asked for a unicorn on her birthday. Obviously, she never got one.) After they died, she felt utterly lost. She locked everyone else out of her life and refused to acknowledge anyone that came to speak with her. It was around this time when she came up with her special code. At last, the appearance of the mutant animals brought her out of her trace and spurred her into action.
Des crafted her beloved bow, Sciopero, and began to train at once. Just before her twelfth birthday, she helped bring down a mutant. A week later, it seemed she didn’t have powers like the other Children. She didn’t discover that they had developed until she fell from the village and she willed herself to stop falling. The air around her responded and shot her back to the platforms.

Winter just didn't agree with the small female. Her pelt always stood out like a bluebird when it snowed. Besides that, she didn't want her paws to freeze. What if she stood still for so long that she froze to the ground? She'd be stuck there till the first thaw! That fear alone was what drove her to keep her paws moving all the time, even though her paws didn't really hurt anymore. In fact, she couldn't feel her paws at all. Perhaps she could ask her brother if that was a bad thing. But he was no where to be found.
Aquilith stopped walking for a moment to think. she was carefully balanced on three legs, switching which paw was held up every so often. Aqui had gone out for a walk and lost her way. Unable to get back to the den she shared with her brother, she decided to keep on going. There was a border up ahead; she'd discovered it yesterday but hadn't dared to cross it. Now, though, it seemed like a good plan. Kuro would be looking for her. He knew that she'd look for a group of wolves. There was a high chance he was waiting for her in the pack's land. Maybe he was even planning to join them. Nodding to herself, Aqui trotted forward. Despite the frost, she managed to pick up a scent that wasn't the same as the border. The smell alone told her it was a lone wolf, and a pup at that! The poor thing... He was probably all alone it the world. Slowly, Aqui worked her way around him so she'd emerge from the undergrowth in front of him.
As soon as she saw him, she knew her hunch had been correct. There wasn't a trace of another wolf on him. "Hello, there. My name's Aquilith," she greeted him, dipping her head shyly. She didn't want to scare him, so it was best to be polite and introduce herself from a distance.
