 THE PATTERN is the name for the growing number of attacks of bio-terrorism. The FRINGE DIVISION of HOMELAND SECURITY are who study, and try to figure out why these attacks are happening. The FRINGE DIVISION'S quarters used to be in Boston, but they have since moved to a city that can only be described as to having the most bio-terrorism attacks in all the world. That place is Gotham City.
It seems that since the market for bio-terrorism has expanded, more and more villians are using it. And since, Gotham is the most crime-ridden city in all of the world, it makes sense that most of these happenings happen here, or atleast, are created here. Many innocent people have been affected by these crimes, and its up to the FRINGE DIVISION to figure out why they are happening and how are the criminals getting a hold of these weapons.
But, its not just them who are investigating these crimes. The heroes of the world are coming together to one place, which happens to be located in Gotham City. SOUTH HIGH SCHOOL, a school for superpowered misfits, is where they are meeting. Coincidently, the basement of this facility is where the FRINGE DIVISION is located. A run in between both of these "organization" could prove to be useful, but it is highly unlikely that they will discover each other.
This bio-terrorism is only the beginning of the problems for Gotham City, and perhaps the world. As we speak, there are holes in our universe, connecting us to the alternate universe. And because of all of these un-natural occurances, both of our worlds are in trouble. And only one world can survive.
